an entire minute later, i now post my 3rd blog. wow, i am moving up in the technology world. i had a utah history class today were we learned about blacks and the pristhood. Pretty interesting stuff.
I've been a fan of music my entire life and have been influenced by many different artists and styles. I was born in Corvallis, Oregon, and as a child was heavily influenced by Motown, Bob Marley, the Beatles, and, oddly enough, Andrew Lloyd Webber. I sang in front of people for the first time when I was 8 years old, as Winthrop in the community production of the Music Man. I lived in Michigan for 2 years as a child, and later Declo, Idaho. I got a guitar for Christmas when I was 15, and used it mostly to make up funny songs, or use for jokes. I taught myself to play, but was mostly a closet musician. I started writing songs in high school. I was in an alternative band, called The Smurfs, for a very brief stint with some high school friends. It wasn't until the last couple of years that I actually mustered the confidence to share my music in front of others and perform. Now, it's addictive and I can't stop. I'll perform any chance I get. I am currently working on my first recorded album. Most of my songs are positive and happy.
On the personal side, I married my soul mate--Gloria Kamae--in 2007 and have been happy since.
